Students' responses to the question: "Please provide any additional comments with respect to Christopher Sze".

ALL students' comments are listed, they are unfiltered and unedited.

  • Always there for his students. He delivers material really well, so after every lecture, I did not have any questions. I wish USF had more professors like Christopher

  • Dr. Sze is a pretty chill guy who really looks to make sure that his students are succeeding. He has a lot of clicker questions throughout the class that are set up to help ensure that you're learning throughout the lecture, and his exams and grading policies are very fair. I might be biased because I did well in his class, but even for my friends who studied for tests the day before or even a few hours before, for them to still get at the least a B goes to show how well Dr. Sze taught the material. Period.

  • Fantastic lectures, excellent quality notes, high quality homework, overall best class and professor of my semester.

  • Good teacher

  • Great teacher who tries his best not only to explain all of the questions, but he also is readily available and willing to admit that he is wrong even on tests. Great teacher who listens to the feedback of his students and facilitates learning.

  • He is very caring and responsible for his teaching. Great professor!

  • He is very understanding and has the students best interests in mind. He was very understanding with the COVID-19 situation. His teaching style homework and other course material is very organized.

  • His materials and lectures are very clear and easy to understand

  • I like this teacher's course because he planned his course very well. He combined the knowledge that he teach in the class and the homework. So, he made this course easier to be understood by the students. A lot of my friend in this class said they like this teacher too.

  • No

  • One of the best math professors I have had.

  • Professor Sze is an excellent professor. The lectures are very easy to understand and his explanations are clear and concise.

  • Professor Sze keeps his remarks about the class shrewd and simple, stating if you do not do good on clickers, then you will not pass the exam. He did an excellent job of adjusting to the pandemic with his course material, and gave students options within the virtual classroom.

  • Professor, Sze is the best math professor I have had. I was initially concerned about this class, but he made it so easy to understand. He even was able to teach me in one section something I did not understand in my computer organization class.

  • Provides plenty of examples, and explicitly writes out each step and explains them. Gave lots of opportunities for extra credit, and was always available to answer questions. Probably one of the best professors I've had so far.

  • Provides very good notes

  • Thank you for being so helpful and working with us through the school closure. I really appreciate your prompt updates, the only thing I would suggest is to have slightly longer office hours through the regular week.

  • Very good instructor writing notes and not slides was great and then posting them after class really helped with studying.

  • Very good.

  • WOW - what an excellent educator! He is very organized with his lectures, takes notes in a top-down fashion during class as to have the students follow his notes and to make sure he's not going faster than the students can write. The notes are written in a well organized beginning to end fashion and everything ties in with each other. He does an excellent job making the information understood and he speaks very clearly. He answers any questions we may have and does take extra time to help students who may need further assistance. His homework is based on his lectures, which makes it very acceptable to pass all the homework with high grades. Also, his tests are based on his homework, which makes for successful studying. I was very pleased to have him as a teacher and am only disappointed that he can't teach the rest of my classes.
